Giulio Dj "Inner life" (Rayko rmx)

IS IT BALEARIC continue to dominate in the laid back and gorgeous stakes with this, their 12th release ! Inner Life is a track from up and coming producer Giulio Dj. Its a poolside disco chugger with some lovely laidback guitars, conjuring up dusty sunsets, and a synth line straight out of the 80's. Coyote strip back the og all the way to create an ambient moment of calm. RAYKO takes the track from the pool and takes gives it an Italo Disco makeover for the dancefloor, whilst The Project Club remix rebuilds the track with layers of their trademark guitars and warm synth lines building to an unexpected heavy disco bass workout reminiscent of I feel love only to outdo itself with an homage to a late 80's stonecold classic...epic

Space Ranger "Superstring" (Rayko remix)

After the success of the "Star Wash EP" Space Ranger present two new boogie bangers from their voyage to the stars in order to make the wait for their debut album (due out in October 2010) a lot more bearable. "Superstring" rides a similar groove to Mark E's "R&B Drunkie" - fat, in a nu-boogie style! Madrid-based producer Rayko slows this track down a tad and gives it a deep cosmic twist. Going for a funky Chic style dancefloor-filling filter-disco sound we have the ace "Shave Me I'm Famous" instrumental. Italian producer Ajello turns the track on its head, falttening out the funk factor in favour of driving arpeggiated space disco. Like the first EP, this could prove to be an underground disco essential.

SCR0018 Beatfanatic "Guide" (Rayko cosmic mix)

"Guide" gets the Rayko Cosmic remix, literally taking it to stratospheric heights with a slow burning cosmic groove that just don't quit. Quality as usual.

KGS002 Kojak Giant Sounds "Rayko Edits"

A1 - Stevie Nicks "Edge of Seventeen" (Rayko edit)
B2 - Irene Cara "Breakdancing" (Rayko edit)

Phonica Records Review:

Two more excellent re-edits from this obscure Finnish label - the last volume lasted just a few days at Phonica and you can hear why - as Rayko takes Stevie Nicks's "Edge of Seventeen" (with that Bootylicious guitar riff) and Irene Cara's "Breakdancing" to new heights..!! Seriously, seriously ace!
