Giulio Dj "Inner life" (Rayko rmx)

IS IT BALEARIC continue to dominate in the laid back and gorgeous stakes with this, their 12th release ! Inner Life is a track from up and coming producer Giulio Dj. Its a poolside disco chugger with some lovely laidback guitars, conjuring up dusty sunsets, and a synth line straight out of the 80's. Coyote strip back the og all the way to create an ambient moment of calm. RAYKO takes the track from the pool and takes gives it an Italo Disco makeover for the dancefloor, whilst The Project Club remix rebuilds the track with layers of their trademark guitars and warm synth lines building to an unexpected heavy disco bass workout reminiscent of I feel love only to outdo itself with an homage to a late 80's stonecold classic...epic

Space Ranger "Superstring" (Rayko remix)

After the success of the "Star Wash EP" Space Ranger present two new boogie bangers from their voyage to the stars in order to make the wait for their debut album (due out in October 2010) a lot more bearable. "Superstring" rides a similar groove to Mark E's "R&B Drunkie" - fat, in a nu-boogie style! Madrid-based producer Rayko slows this track down a tad and gives it a deep cosmic twist. Going for a funky Chic style dancefloor-filling filter-disco sound we have the ace "Shave Me I'm Famous" instrumental. Italian producer Ajello turns the track on its head, falttening out the funk factor in favour of driving arpeggiated space disco. Like the first EP, this could prove to be an underground disco essential.

SCR0018 Beatfanatic "Guide" (Rayko cosmic mix)

"Guide" gets the Rayko Cosmic remix, literally taking it to stratospheric heights with a slow burning cosmic groove that just don't quit. Quality as usual.

KGS002 Kojak Giant Sounds "Rayko Edits"

A1 - Stevie Nicks "Edge of Seventeen" (Rayko edit)
B2 - Irene Cara "Breakdancing" (Rayko edit)

Phonica Records Review:

Two more excellent re-edits from this obscure Finnish label - the last volume lasted just a few days at Phonica and you can hear why - as Rayko takes Stevie Nicks's "Edge of Seventeen" (with that Bootylicious guitar riff) and Irene Cara's "Breakdancing" to new heights..!! Seriously, seriously ace!

RW002 Wanting you by Ilija Rudman & Walk the night edit by RK

The second release on the Spanish label Rare Wiri bring us another two quality club tracks. On A side we have "Wanting You" by Ilija Rudman featuring vocals Show-B. This is a killer house tempo nu-disco track filled with awesome acidic bass, 'Eastenders' syndrums and cool synths to make the dancefloor move (and not to the bar either ;-)). On the flip Rayko & F. Pineda hit the floor with an edit of 80s classic "Walk The Night" by the Skatt Bros. It keeps the chugging midtempo electroid disco of the original, but snips out the camp vocal, leaving us with an extended instrumental version to enjoy. Top quality gear, both sides.

Space Disco Vol.1

Piccadilly Records Review:

Rare Wiri strikes back with a cosmic disco journey to the end of time (and then back to the dancefloor!). The crew of the starship are formed by Ichisan (Airtight, Eskimo, Solardisco), Ilya Santana (Balihu, Tirk, Permanent Vacation etc) and the head of Rare Wiri, Rayko. "Space Disco Vol.1" is a great EP of tracks aimed to move your body and mind into the last frontier of the universe. Ichisan is gaining a rep for ultra-epic cosmic disco productions, and "Snow Shower" is just that - worth the price of the EP all by itself. Dropping some Cerrone-style electrodisco is Ilya Santana and "You Are The One" - dreamy. Which leaves the tripped-out "Spaceship Crash" by Rayko - another winner.

RW003 by Phoreski Out Now!

Picadilly Records Review...

Phoreski joins Rare Wiri with two excellent tracks from the vaults of the Fat Fuk Studio. "Slow Me Down" is a killer chugger, with an energetic bassline and spacey synths that lift off into the stratosphere halfway through. "Air Shark" is dark apocalyptic cosmic / electrodisco track with a filmic edge that fans of John Carpenter will love.

Rare Wiri 001 Ilya Santana / Rayko

A- Ilya Santana - Instrumental Odissey
B - Rayko - White Russian
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PICADILLY RECORDS REVIEW: 'Ilya Santana & Rayko get presented with a big disco ball shaped trophy as they win RECORD OF THE WEEK with this super double header, looks like Rare Wiri could be a label to watch... A new label is always something to get excited about, who've they got on it? What's the output gonna be like etc etc. As they say the proof is in the eating (I always thought they actually said the proof is in the pudding, but I am often wrong), and I must say this debut release defo has something to get your teeth into. On side-A, Ilya Santana pops his head up again with "Instrumental Oddissey", taking the baton from Danny Wang (the man who brought him to our attention), this is a belting disco swirl, laden with strings, killer synth lines, monstrous hand clap and groovy bassline, pretty much all you need for a night under the disco ball. Over on side-B Rayko's "White Russian" fills the spacey, cosmic quota with aplomb, it's a little bit Italo in the bassline, more cool spacey synth sounds and a solid beat, nice stuff I wonder what Disco Wiri have in store for us next?'. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PHONICA RECORDS REVIEW: 'Two excellent balaeric disco gems on this nice new Spanish label called Rare Wiri that schedules all sorts of fresh sounding house and nu disco. The first one is by Ilya Santana and Rayko both showing off with some nice quality tunes with a summerish Balearic feeling. 'Instrumental Odissey is one of Ilya Santana's most complete works so far taking us on a classy disco house trip. Rolling disco bass lines with smooth synths and easy melodies supported by classic disco strings. 'White Russian' on the flip is the debut of another great Canary Island producer called Rayko... and another proof of the talent this label will bring in the near future!'. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
